Hard water is the local challenge. Our tap water arrives loaded with calcium, and evaporation concentrates it further, which is why so many pools here end up with white scale on the tile and cloudy water. Keeping pH and alkalinity in range slows scale dramatically, and we will tell you honestly when the water is old enough that a drain and refill is the better fix.
