Answers to the questions we hear most from pool owners across southwest Riverside County. Don’t see yours? Call or text (951) 768-2972.
How much does weekly pool service cost?
It depends on the size of your pool, whether you have an attached spa, your equipment and how much debris your yard gets. We give free, no-obligation quotes. Call or text (951) 768-2972 and tell us a little about your pool.
What is included in a weekly pool cleaning visit?
Every visit includes testing and balancing the water, skimming the surface, brushing the walls, steps and tile line, vacuuming the floor as needed, emptying the skimmer and pump baskets, and checking the pump, filter, heater and pool cleaner. If we spot a leak or a failing part, we tell you the same day. More on our weekly pool cleaning service.
Do I need to be home when you service my pool?
No. As long as we can get to the pool and the equipment, we take care of everything on your scheduled service day. Let us know about gate codes, locks or pets ahead of time.
My pool turned green. Can you fix it?
Yes. Green pools are one of the most common calls we get. Mild cases are cleared with a strong chemical treatment, brushing and a filter cleaning. If the water is too far gone, a drain, clean and refill is often faster and cheaper. We look at the pool first and give you a price before starting.
Why does my pool get scale on the tile?
Southwest Riverside County has hard water that is high in calcium. As pool water evaporates and gets topped off, minerals build up and leave white scale on tile and inside heaters and salt cells. Keeping pH and alkalinity balanced slows it down. When levels get too high, a drain and refill or a tile cleaning fixes it.
Is a salt water pool better than chlorine?
A salt pool makes its own chlorine from dissolved salt, so many people find the water feels softer and they handle fewer chemicals. It still needs regular testing, and the salt cell has to be inspected and cleaned. We maintain both types and can convert a chlorine pool to salt.
How long should I run my pool pump?
Pools here need more filtration in hot weather than in winter. The right schedule depends on your pool size and pump. A variable speed pump can run longer at low speed for much less electricity. We set and adjust the schedule for you by season.
My pool heater will not turn on. What should I do?
First check that the gas is on, the pump is running and the heater is set to heat. If it still will not fire or shows an error code, call us. Common causes include ignition problems, faulty sensors, low water flow and scale inside the heat exchanger. See pool heater repair.
How can I tell if my pool is leaking?
Mark the water level with tape and check it again after 24 hours with the equipment running normally. Losing more than about a quarter inch a day, or seeing wet ground, cracks or air in the pump basket, can point to a leak. We offer leak detection and repair.
